ORGANIZED AN "OPEN HOUSE DAY" IN UMNUGOVI PROVINCE

"Mongolian Railway" State Owned Shareholding Company (SOSC) successfully organized an "Open House Day" in Dalanzadgad, the city center of Umnugovi Province, on October 11, 2025. This event was held concurrently with the "Southern Gobi Transport Workers" celebration, organized as part of the 100th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Auto Transport Sector in Mongolia. The event was attended by guests including B. Delgersaikhan, Member of Parliament and Minister of Road and Transport Development, R. Seddorj, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economy, N. Naranbaatar, Member of Parliament, and O. Batchuluun, Chief Executive Officer of "Mongolian Railway" SOSC. 

 

Memorandums of Cooperation Signed

 

 As part of this initiative, the following memorandums and cooperation agreements were signed with the aim of ensuring conditions for local citizens to work in the railway sector, training professional personnel, and resolving social issues: Tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Road and Transport Development, "Mongolian Railway" SOSC, and the Governors of Umnugovi Province. 

 

Cooperation Agreements with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) Technology School and Polytechnic College in Umnugovi. 

 

9 Students Covered by a 100% Scholarship Program Furthermore, within the framework of cooperation established with the Railway Professional Technology College in Baotou City, China, nine students were enrolled in a 100% scholarship program. They received certificates confirming their right to study railway professions for a period of three years. 

 

13 Graduates Provided with Jobs through Short-Term Training "Mongolian Railway" SOSC is sequentially organizing short-term training sessions to promote and teach railway professions in Umnugovi, Dornogovi, and Dundgovi provinces. Specifically: 37 citizens participated in and successfully graduated from courses such as Freight Wagon Handover Specialist, Wagon Inspector Repairman, and Locomotive Repairman. Out of these graduates, 13 were directly provided with job placements within the company. 

 

Policy Focused on the Future "Mongolian Railway" SOSC expresses its commitment to continue actively working towards promoting the development of the railway transport sector based on the participation of regional citizens and implementing long-term, stable policies.
